Following the success of the recent social engagement activity on Women’s Day, Edelman Italy’s local citizenship teams joined the Italian Alliance against Ovarian Cancer (ACTO Onlus) on May 8, to support the first Italian celebration of World Ovarian Cancer Day.
The Edelman Italy team worked closely with the patient association ACTO to collect testimonials from a blogger, a journalist, an Olympian and actresses who participated in a video shoot. The video message addresses all women and discusses the importance of prevention and early diagnosis of ovarian cancer.
This video was uploaded on the association website and its social media outlets (YouTube and Facebook) on World Ovarian Cancer Day. Moreover, the video was displayed at the European Oncology Institute in Milan (IEO), opening the patient event organized by the association on the awareness day, along with a video registered by a respected Italian oncologist Umberto Veronesi, president of IEO. World Ovarian Cancer Day also provided an occasion to launch the new ACTO website that the Edelman Italy team helped restructure.
